Welcome to 7th Grade History!
7th Grade History: World History, Medieval and Early Modern Times, approx. 500 - 1650 CE
Following the recently adopted (2016) CA State Frameworks for History Content Standards, 7th graders will be studying world history in existence during the time period of approx. 500 CE - 1650 CE. Students will learn about the social structure, belief systems, economy, and governing practices of several powerful empires around the world. Through inquiry and discovery, students will also answer the following ‘big picture’ questions about world civilization during this time period: How did the distant regions of the world become more interconnected through medieval and early modern times? How did the environment and technological innovations affect the expansion of agriculture, cities, and human population? How did increased trade and interaction between cultures affect various empires?
